Bicycle Trips Cottage Grove Lorane 2021

These are some pictures from my most recent local trip in 2021/22 right where I live in Lane County Oregon starting from Eugene and then going on to Cresswell, Cottage Grove, Lorane and Corvallis in the early fall of 2021 and early spring of 2022.

OK, back in Cottage Grove and here you see a mural right in the center of town remembering the writer and mystic Opal Irene Whiteley. Quoting from Wikipedia: "Opal Irene Whiteley ( born December 11, 1897 , died February 16, 1992) was an American nature writer and diarist whose childhood journal was first published in 1920 as The Story of Opal in serialized form in the Atlantic Monthly, then later that same year as a book with the title The Story of Opal: The Journal of an Understanding Heart.[1] It gave Whiteley celebrity status in her home state of Oregon, where she toured giving lectures on nature and the environment." This was painted in 2001 by Connie Huston and Howard Tharpe.

I will have future pics here for more travelogues in the future.
