Bicycle Tour led by me in Cuba in Winter 2003. This is my fourth time in Cuba leading a tour myself. I went to places I did before and also Veradero beach, Sancti Spirutus, Santo Domingo, Topo de las Callantes, Trinidad and Colon. Note, you have to scroll down to see the pictures at the bottom. Some of the captions are quite long. Thank you!

Rain started at 6 AM and did not end till 4 PM ! It was a real hard tropical rain. It made the ride really quick. (We were cold!) We did 35 km in 3 hours without stopping. At 1:30 PM we arrived at the incredibly luxurious Hotel Caneyes. The water was so hot Ray burned himself in the shower (50 Celsius). We had a disco and pool here, internet, color television with both American and Cuban Television. I took a nap at 4 PM after lunch and actually fell asleep. For lunch I had drunk hot chocolate I was so cold. One day you have heat exhaustion and the next day you need hot chocolate so you don't freeze! For the evening we took a cab to the center of beautiful Santa Clara. I bought 2 pizzas for 8 Pesos and then sat in a Cuban ice cream parlor Piroppo. The ice cream was better than I've eaten in the USA. We then heard a little music from a 'son orchestra' at the Gazebo in the center of the town square beautiful park in Santa Clara. Santa Clara has architecture like a little Vienna with beautiful ornate clean buildings from the time of the eighteen hundreds. We took a cab back at 9:30 PM and went to sleep. By now we were falling asleep the instant our heads hit the pillow.

I will have future pics here for more travelogues in the future.
